Note: year to year salaries are just base salaries. No bonuses that a player has/will receive(d) are included. They are however included in the last column (2012 Cap Hits). Blanks just mean that the salary information has not yet been disclosed. Will update when I can.
Thoughts:
In 2013, the Giants will only have 28 players under contract for a total of $72.6M. This is just base salary. To compare to the current year, the Giants have 65 players under contract for a total of $83,927,486.00. Again this is just base salary. This is a difference of $11.3M and 37 players. I have not taken a look at what those 28 players in 2013 will make in bonuses, but if you thought money was tight this year, wait 'til next year.
